The QD200 Optical Encoder from Quantum Devices, Inc. offers an advanced rotary encoder feedback solution, typically beneficial in applications employing modular encoders. With a compact length of 0.93" and the steadfast stability of a bearing encoder design, this model stands to deliver significant performance upgrades in areas generally constrained by traditional modular encoder solutions.

Its outputs include a quadrature with a reference pulse and three-phase commutation, which can be configured with either the industry-standard 5 volt RS422A Line Driver or the adaptable 5 to 26 volt OL7272 line driver.

The design incorporates a flexible spring mount, capable of handling a much greater tail shaft run out than modular encoder designs typically permit, along with 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.

The housing, made from conductive carbon fiber composite, offers the EMI shielding typical of an all-metal housing, without any loss in performance.
