The IMA incorporates a linear servo actuator in a small, sturdy package. It comes in both ball and roller screw models, and these IMA servo linear actuators can provide forces up to 6875 lbs even under high duty cycle operations. The IMA uses a standard servo motor that is compatible with a variety of feedback types and has a food-grade coating for sanitary wash-down purposes.
