The HR12 goes beyond the standard with its high line count resolution, sturdy bearing structure, and broad tolerance to radial and axial shaft play. With commutation for brushless motor control, a strain-relieved cable, and quadrature output featuring an index pulse and three-phase commutation powered by industrial 26C31 differential drivers, it's more than your typical modular encoder. Moreover, its flexible member allows for higher tail shaft run out and TIR than most modular encoder designs, and offers 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
