The DS-40 Absolute Rotary Encoder, with a hollow floating shaft design, provides a resolution of 17-19 bit and accuracy of ±0.010°.
Constructed using Ultem™ polymer and TRVX-50, it has a rotor inertia of 70.93 gr·mm² and weighs 20 grams (with cable). It functions in temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, complies with EMC standards (IEC 6100-6-2, IEC 6100-6-4), and has an IP 40 protection rating.
Connectivity includes SSi and BiSS-C communication, binary output, and RS-422 serial output.
The DS-40 operates on 5V ±5% voltage, with a 90 mA current consumption and a position update rate up to 375 kHz, making it a reliable choice for precise industrial applications.
