Quantum Devices, Inc.'s QD200 Optical Encoder presents an advanced solution for rotary encoder feedback, particularly in applications utilizing modular encoders. This model, with a compact overall length of 0.93" and the firm stability of a bearing encoder design, can contribute to substantial performance enhancements in areas that are commonly limited by traditional modular encoder solutions.
Outputs consist of a quadrature with a reference pulse and three-phase commutation, both configurable with either the standard 5 volt RS422A Line Driver or the adaptable 5 to 26 volt OL7272 line driver.
The QD200 features a flexible spring mount that enables significantly greater tail shaft run out than modular encoder designs typically permit, also providing 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
The housing is made of conductive carbon fiber composite, offering the EMI shielding you'd expect from an all-metal housing, while maintaining peak performance.
