Designed for improved feedback solutions in applications commonly using modular encoders, Quantum Devices, Inc.'s QD145 Optical Encoder offers a stable bearing encoder design with a height of just 0.87”. This model can significantly enhance performance in scenarios where traditional modular encoder solutions might be limiting.
The output configuration comprises a quadrature with reference pulse and three-phase commutation, which can be matched with either the 5 volt RS422A Line Driver, the industry standard, or the 5 to 26 volt OL7272 line driver. The encoder's flexible component can withstand much more tail shaft run out compared to modular encoder designs, providing 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing. Its conductive carbon fiber composite housing delivers the EMI shielding typical of an all-metal housing, while ensuring the performance of a lightweight yet durable assembly.
