The RIO-471xx is a compact and cost-effective PLC with Ethernet connectivity, offering smart and user-friendly operation. It features a high-performance RISC processor that efficiently handles I/O logic and can be programmed using Galil's intuitive command language or the convenient Galil's Ladder Interface software.

With its self-contained design, the RIO unit incorporates a wide range of analog and digital I/O capabilities, including 8 analog inputs, 8 analog outputs, 16 optically isolated inputs, 8 high-power isolated outputs, and 8 low-power isolated outputs. The RIO-4710x model provides 0-5V analog I/O, while the RIO-4712x model offers configurable +/-10V, +/-5V, 0-5V, or 0-10V analog I/O.

Flexibility is further enhanced with the RIO's ability to operate as a Modbus TCP master or slave. Multiple RIO units can be distributed on an Ethernet network, allowing seamless I/O expansion to meet your application needs.

The RIO-471x2 variant comes with expanded memory, providing ample space for 400 lines of program space, 254 variables, 1000 array elements, 6 PID loops, and 5 Ethernet handles. This extended memory capacity enables you to develop complex control algorithms and handle sophisticated automation tasks with ease.
