The QD200 Optical Encoder from Quantum Devices, Inc provides an enhanced rotary encoder feedback solution, commonly employed in applications using modular encoders. Boasting a compact size of just 0.93" and the stability inherent to a bearing encoder design, this model is set to offer significant performance improvements in scenarios often limited by traditional modular encoder solutions.

The encoder's outputs consist of a quadrature with a reference pulse and three-phase commutation, configurable with either the standard 5 volt RS422A Line Driver or the versatile 5 to 26 volt OL7272 line driver.

Thanks to its flexible spring mount design, the QD200 can accommodate a much greater tail shaft run out than modular encoder designs typically allow, also providing 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.

Constructed from conductive carbon fiber composite, its housing offers the EMI shielding of an all-metal housing, without compromising on performance.
