Quantum Devices, Inc.'s QD200 Optical Encoder delivers an advanced rotary encoder feedback solution in applications usually incorporating modular encoders. With an overall length of 0.93" and the consistent stability of a bearing encoder design, this model is geared to provide significant performance enhancements in areas typically constrained by conventional modular encoder solutions.
Outputs comprise a quadrature with reference pulse and three-phase commutation, both of which can be configured with either the standard 5 volt RS422A Line Driver or the versatile 5 to 26 volt OL7272 line driver.
The QD200 features a flexible spring mount that permits a much greater tail shaft run out than typical modular encoder designs, while also providing 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
The housing, made from conductive carbon fiber composite, provides the EMI shielding typically associated with an all-metal housing, without sacrificing performance.
