Quantum Devices, Inc.'s QD200 Optical Encoder delivers a superior solution for rotary encoder feedback, particularly effective in applications typically employing modular encoders. With an overall length of just 0.93" and the stability provided by a bearing encoder design, the QD200 model is ready to deliver significant performance upgrades in contexts typically limited by modular encoder solutions.
Outputs include a quadrature with a reference pulse and three-phase commutation, which can be set up with either the 5 volt RS422A Line Driver industry standard or the more adaptable 5 to 26 volt OL7272 line driver.
The QD200 features a flexible spring mount, capable of accommodating a much greater tail shaft run out than what is normally possible with modular encoder designs, also providing 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
The housing, made from conductive carbon fiber composite, provides the EMI shielding characteristic of an all-metal housing while maintaining outstanding performance.
