The QD145 Optical Encoder from Quantum Devices, Inc. is a superior feedback solution, ideal for applications that usually depend on modular encoders. Its slim height of just 0.87" and the reliability of a bearing encoder design enable the QD145 model to deliver substantial performance enhancements in situations where traditional modular encoder solutions might be insufficient.
The output options include a quadrature with reference pulse and three-phase commutation. These can be matched with either the 5 volt RS422A Line Driver, an industry standard, or the versatile 5 to 26 volt OL7272 line driver. A flexible member accommodates a much larger tail shaft run out than what modular encoder designs typically allow, and also offers 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing. The housing, made of conductive carbon fiber composite, provides the EMI shielding characteristic of an all-metal housing, while ensuring the benefits of a lightweight and robust assembly.
