Quantum Devices, Inc.'s Model QR12 provides an optimized feedback solution in applications that typically employ modular encoders. Its height is less than one inch, and the stability of a bearing encoder design allows the QR12 model to offer significant performance improvements in applications restricted by traditional modular encoder solutions.
The QR12's outputs are composed of two incremental quadrature channels, an index pulse, and three-phase commutation.
The encoder design includes a flexible spring steel mount, which can tolerate a higher degree of tail shaft run out and TIR than modular encoder designs, along with providing 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
