This program creates the table for operating a Galil motion controller in the electronic cam (ECAM) mode.
This program creates the table for operating a Galil motion controller in the electronic cam (ECAM) mode. This can be done by inputting the data point by point.
The user inputs the data points that are relevant to the operation of the system. These points may be spaced at non-uniform intervals. On the basis of this functional table, the program generates the final table which may include up to 256 points, uniformly spaced and prepared according to Galil's DMC instructions or commands.
In the special case of a flying shear application, it is possible to generate the ECAM table on the basis of the parameters of the system. Generating the ECAM table in the two modes is described below.
When the application requires several slave axis, the corresponding columns in the ECAM table can be added one at a time.

When the functional table is entered, the user may also specify the required number of intervals (up to 256) in the final ECAM table. The program creates the required final table in Galil DMC instructions or commands. The resulting ECAM table can be viewed as a DMC file (set of DMC commands) or as a graph. As viewed as a DMC file, the program may be viewed line-by-line. The graphical representation shows the position and the velocity of the slave as a function of the master position.
