8 Axis Hub for Multi-Axis Applications
The SiNet Hub-8 is the heart of the "Simple Indexer Network", Applied Motion's multi-axis solution for motion control applications. The hub includes the cables, software and manuals to provide you with a simple path to a sophisticated motion control system. Just add the appropriate motor and drive for each axis, load the software onto your Windows 95, 98 or NT computer, and you're ready to create programs in minutes. You can choose from 7 drive models and dozens of motors to get the perfect fit for your application.
The hub is most often used as a "stand alone" controller, sending commands to the networked drives as it executes your program from internal memory. A PC, running our SiNet Hub Programmer software, is used to help you create and test your motion control programs. Up to 8 Si intelligent drives can be connected to the hub using simple modular patch cables. Your program has access to the programmable I/O of each drive (up to 64 inputs and 24 outputs), and can move motors independently or simultaneously, in absolute, relative or "sensor seeking" modes.
Our MMI-01 operator terminal can also be used with the hub, allowing a user to choose from a menu, enter move distances, speeds and batch counts, and more. The SiNet Hub-8 can also be used as a "command router", allowing up to 8 Si drives to be connected to a host PC or PLC and operated in real time. In this configuration, the drives are commanded and queried by your custom software using our SiNet Command Language. Successful applications have been developed in many languages, including Visual Basic, C and Labview.
