The DMC-2000 stand-alone motion controller is a member of the Optima Series, Galil's latest generation of multi-axis motion controllers. The DMC-2000 is the first motion controller in the market designed for the high-speed, flexible Universal Serial Bus (USB)-which is projected as the industry standard for local network communications between PCs and peripherals.
The controller is packaged in a compact, rugged enclosure and contains an internal power supply for direct connection to 90-250 V AC. The DMC-2000 controllers accommodate 1- through 8-axis formats and allow control of step or servo motors on any combination of axes. Any mode of motion can be programmed including linear and circular interpolation, contouring, electronic gearing and ecam.
Programming the DMC-2000 is simplified with two-letter, intuitive commands and a full set of software tools such as WSDK for servo tuning and analysis, ActiveX Tool Kit for Visual Basic users and a C-Programmers Tool Kit.
