Quantum Devices, Inc.'s JR12 model presents a superior feedback solution in use cases that commonly use pancake resolvers with the same threaded shaft and jam nut mounting. The JR12, thanks to its less than one inch in height and the robustness of a bearing encoder design, can offer substantial performance enhancements in use cases generally constrained by conventional resolvers or modular encoder solutions.
The JR12 offers output options that include a quadrature with an index pulse and three-phase commutation. A flexible component allows for larger tail shaft run out and TIR than most modular encoder designs can tolerate. Moreover, the inbuilt mounting flange precludes the need for expensive servo mounting clips.
