The HR12 stands out with its high line count resolution, durable bearing design, and extensive tolerance for radial and axial shaft play. It is equipped with commutation for brushless motor control, a strain-relieved cable, and quadrature output with an index pulse and three-phase commutation, thanks to industrial 26C31 differential drivers. Its flexible member design allows for a larger tail shaft run out and TIR than usual modular encoder designs, along with 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
