The HR12 Model from Quantum Devices Inc. offers a better feedback solution than modular encoders typically used in similar applications.
The HR12 distinguishes itself with its high line count resolution, resilient bearing design, and a sizable tolerance to radial and axial shaft play. In addition to its commutation for brushless motor control and strain-relieved cable, it provides quadrature output with an index pulse and three-phase commutation powered by industrial 26C31 differential drivers. The flexible member design accommodates more tail shaft run out and TIR than other modular encoder designs, along with 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
