The HR12 excels with its high line count resolution, sturdy bearing construction, and broad radial and axial shaft play tolerance. It features commutation for brushless motor control, a strain-relieved cable, and quadrature output with an index pulse and three-phase commutation from industrial 26C31 differential drivers. It surpasses other modular encoder designs with its flexible member that allows for a greater tail shaft run out and TIR, and provides 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
