The HR12 Model from Quantum Devices Inc. presents a refined feedback solution in contexts generally using modular encoders.
The HR12 distinguishes itself with its high line count resolution, durable bearing structure, and considerable radial and axial shaft play tolerance. It is equipped with commutation for brushless motor control and a strain-relieved cable, as well as quadrature output with an index pulse and three-phase commutation provided by industrial 26C31 differential drivers. Its flexible member tolerates greater tail shaft run out and TIR than typically allowed by modular encoders, and it facilitates 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
