HR12 is marked by its high line count resolution, robust bearing construction, and a broad tolerance for radial and axial shaft play. With its commutation for brushless motor control and strain-relieved cable, it offers quadrature output with an index pulse and three-phase commutation through industrial 26C31 differential drivers. The flexible member design tolerates higher tail shaft run out and TIR than traditional modular encoder designs and enables 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
