Quantum Devices' HR12 Model presents an advanced feedback solution for applications traditionally employing modular encoders.
The HR12 delivers superior performance with its high line count resolution, durable bearing construction, and extensive tolerance to radial and axial shaft play. It is equipped with commutation for brushless motor control and a strain-relieved cable. Quadrature output with an index pulse and three-phase commutation is supplied by industrial 26C31 differential drivers. Unlike other modular encoder designs, the HR12's flexible member tolerates more tail shaft run out and TIR, while providing 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
