HR12 outperforms its peers with high line count resolution, robust bearing construction, and a large tolerance to radial and axial shaft play. It features commutation for brushless motor control, a strain-relieved cable, and quadrature output with index pulse and three-phase commutation from industrial 26C31 differential drivers. Its flexible member offers more tail shaft run out and TIR than typically allowed by modular encoder designs and provides 30 degrees of rotation for commutation timing.
