Airborne™ Accessories are designed for connection to 802.11 wireless devices operating in the 2.4GHz ISM band. These accessories fully support the entire line of Airborne™ wireless 802.11 products. This wide assortment is intended to provide OEMs with solutions that meet the demanding and diverse requirements for any application including transportation, medical, warehouse logistics, POS, industrial, military and scientific applications. OEMs can select from these fully tested accessories or integrate their own solution.
The Airborne™ Antenna family offers antennas for embedded applications, fixed stations, mobile operation and client side devices, and for indoor and outdoor applications. The antennas feature RP-SMA, N-type and U.FL connectors that provide the designer with flexible ways to connect to Airborne wireless products.
A wide range of antenna types and gain options enable an OEM to select the antenna that best matches their application requirements. The lower gain and smaller antennas, such as the "rubber duck" antennas, fit applications where the range is not required to exceed 200-400m while the higher gain directional antennas would be suitable for extended range that require greater than 800m reach.
Designed as highly integrated drop-in 802.11 wireless networking solutions, Airborne 802.11 wireless embedded wireless device server and ethernet bridge modules and radios are designed to quickly add wireless LAN and Internet connectivity to a wide range of OEM products.
More than just a Mini PCI or PC Card 802.11 radio adapter, the Airborne embedded module features a fully integrated, 802.11 radio and network processor that provides a complete, wireless network connection in a single, small footprint package. Airborne wireless modules eliminate the design time and risk associated with 802.11 wireless chipset based designs, and provide all of the network protocols and processing needed to quickly implement embedded wireless solutions. And, they offer industrial-grade performance, making them ideally suited for harsh environments.
DPAC's products and packaged subsystems are used by major OEMs in the transportation, homeland security, medical diagnostics and a wide variety of other markets to enable remote data collection and control.
The Airborne and AirborneDirect products offer OEMs a reliable solution for applications that require industrial-grade performance with a quick time-to-market. In addition to delivering 802.11 connectivity and interoperability in the only compact module designed to operate across the full industrial temperature spectrum, Airborne and AirborneDirect delivers advanced security and other important features like low power modes, a built-in web server and a 5-year warranty.
The Airborne and AirborneDirect Evaluation Kits are the starting point for OEM engineers, allowing them to experiment and quickly gain a full understanding of all our products' capabilities. Then, when it's time to integrate RF/wireless into their products, these engineers choose from our embedded 802.11 wireless modules or packaged wireless system products. All of these are designed for ease-of-integration, with full TCP/IP networking, WEP and WPA security (with LEAP optional) and 802.11 RF technology built-in. DPAC products are designed for long-term reliability, plus hardened to withstand the extreme temperatures and other harsh conditions inherent in transportation, medical, scientific, industrial and other non-consumer applications.
