The DMC-1000 for the ISA bus is a member of the Legacy Series, a prior generation of general-purpose controllers with a widely installed base. For new applications, Galil recommends the new generation, Optima series DMC-1700 ISA controller .The DMC-1000 controllers accommodate 1- through 8-axis formats and allow control of step or servo motors on any combination of axes. Any mode of motion can be programmed including linear and circular interpolation, contouring, electronic gearing and ecam. Programming the DMC-1000 is simplified with two-letter, intuitive commands and a full set of software tools such as WSDK for servo tuning and analysis, ActiveX Tool Kit for Visual Basic users and a C-Programmers Tool Kit.

  • Accepts up to 8 MHz encoder frequencies for servos and 2 MHz for steppers
  • Advanced PID compensation with Velocity and Acceleration feedforward
  • Sample times to 125 microseconds per axis
  • Modes of motion include jogging, point-to-point positioning, contouring, linear and circular interpolation, and electronic gearing
  • Multitasking for concurrent execution of up to four application programs
  • Non-volatile memory for application programs, variables and arrays
  • Dual encoders, home input and forward and reverse limits accepted for every axis
  • 8 Uncommitted inputs and 8 outputs for 1- through 4-axes models, 24 inputs and 16 outputs for 5- through 8-axis models
  • 7uncomitted analog inputs
  • Uses Ribbon cables with IDC connectors
  • Custom hardware and firmware options available
